And a few more cards to show. I've just treated myself to a Craft robo, still playing with it as yet. But already realise it wont cut what I call quality card.
I tried to cut black card with it yesterday......................and it wasn't what I call particularly thick............NO Joy! So did a cut on white card that I use for decoupage and did a reverse silhouette. I used a font from WWfancyhats as a template.
My friend wanted a photo of her grandson on his 1st Birthday card so I did a train with him driving. I had to alter the image slightly, but I think it's worked out well.
An anniversary card next with a cute topper and my lovely die cut flourish again.
Then SHOES............I've made a good buddy on the imag-e-nation forum. She sent me some goodies and a load of toppers she had made. They are all fantastic and so imaginative. She gave me some good ideas. I took a template from a shoe she had done and had a go at making my own...........................I love the effect!
Had phone call Thursday morning at 8 oclock.....................not even out of bed although I was awake. It was a local hairdresser who I had made cards for before. She wanted two cards.........A 50th birthday for Gary and an engagement card. I had made an engagement card for her before and as it was for someone else she wanted it similar.
Then about an hour or so later I had another phone call from a client of hers who wanted an anniversary card.......................so word of mouth is getting around.
The good luck card for Scotland is made for a friend whose ex girlfriend is moving to Scotland........I think there will be a few tears shed there!!
The Flower fairy is just something I wanted to do from my new flower fairy disc. ( for my stash)
This is my Challenge card from Karen J's challenge on imag-e-nation forum, It didn't win ( surprise surprise!) But it was different. I hadn't tried this fold before. It was made from a full sheet of A3 card. I think it's called a top diamond!
The baby card I saw on ebay so I made my own template and made it A5 with a top fold ( I cut A3 sheet of card in two long ways) I don't think it needs anything else I love the simplicity.
The wedding bookatrix is an order as is the bra card.
I am Val and I have been card making for around six or seven years now. I live with my wonderful husband Tony and best friend of 44 years in Bridport Dorset. We have two sons, five grandsons and one grand daughter. I also have a beautiful Springer Spaniel called Holly, who recently cost us a fortune at the vets. But she is worth every penny.... love her! Hubby has converted our second bedroom into a craft room for me.......Bless him. I am on the admin team of crafters reunited. I hope to show you each card I make with a brief description.
